Mornings with a Gargantuan Girl
I think most people simply are awakened by the alarm clock, yawn, moan and roll out of bed. It is no different for me, though with a little added steps and adjustments. I awaken, usually on my back (though not my preferred position) or on my side (preferred). I am very careful NOT to just TWIST and get up as with all this weight shifting this way or that can and has kinked my spine and neck. So I am careful to maneuver my giant flesh pillows as I slap the alarm to quiet it and start to rise to the new day. And here's a little bonus: I try to immediately set my mind to a positive mode, a positive voice. Sure, it doesn't work all the time, but it seems when I begin the day with a positive attitude, positive thoughts, telling myself I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH ANOTHER DAY. I CAN DO THIS. RAIN OR SHINE, IT'S ALL OKAY, starts to day off right. (Along with a hot cup of coffee LOL) Once awake, and having my bearings...from lying on my back or on my side...I work on sitting up, ...
